my sister and i made a writing journal last night. she wanted to go buy one but i had some stuff lying around from the thrift store and so we made one...

we took an old dr. suess book that i bought for $1 ripped out the pages, then ripped out the paper from a comp. notebook and tied a ribbon really tight around the paper and spine of the book... mod podged two pages to the inside cover to hide the part that says "this book belongs to" and viola! she has a new writing journal.

i will post pictures as soon as i can, but when i was on vacation i lost the cord that uploads pics from my camera to my computer.   Cry

oooh, I like it!  The ribbon around the paper and spine is an excellent way to "rebind" your journal.  Can't wait to see pictures!  Smiley

you are awesome to think of a project like that.  "oh the thinks you can think" would be a great book to make the journal out of especially for like a creative writing class or just random jotting. You're way too cool

i love that. i'm going to have to try it. i wonder if there would be a way to attach binder rings into it... it would be cool to use as a binder for school...
