Thanks guys! I always procrastinate when it comes to studying, at least I get a lot done on my crochet, hehe. It's not my fault that yarn is so much cooler than school work.
Kitten0Face: I love your avatar, looks very Alice in Wonderland + Manga, both of which are awesome!

Love your kitty - the fuzzy yarn makes her look adorable. Also know what everyone means about the attention-grabbing qualities of yarn when compared to uni work, maybe i should have studied crochet instead!

Well done your amigurumi anyway - really cute, xxx.

I love your kitty. I'm totally saving the picture in my "ideas" folder. If you do post the pattern I'd love to make one.
Was it harder working with fuzzy yarn? (is a newbie at crocheting)

Sorry for the lack of responses to questions, I started back school and haven't had much time for anything else. The only part of working with novelty yarn which was more difficult is finding the spaces to put the hooks in, it's easy once you get used to it, and the good thing about fuzzy yarn is that it naturally covers up mistakes you make. I don't think I'd be able to write a pattern, I've made another kitty and all the different yarns are so different in weight that there's no good way to say what hook size to use or how many stitches to increase. It's pretty simple to make though, just a large ball on top of a smaller oval, with tubes for arms and legs, heh. Thanks for the compliments, glad everybody thinks he's cute!
