Hmm well the pirate journal tutorial I used does put the folded edges towards the binding and the glued edges outwards.
I definitely noticed how well Gingerquilts card went- I adore that card!
I guess I didn't read it that closely.  That might have made things a little easier for me.  Oh, well.  You've got about a half pound of glue in your book, anyway!

And now it probably looks like we're being cryptic with everybody.  So--I had several types of paper with horizontal branch prints.  Many of the cards depict birds perched on branches.  I placed several of those in a way that the branches on the card line up with the branches on the paper.  I thought it would make them fit into their "environment" a little better.  Ginga's bird sits on a branch with pink blossoms, and one of the paper designs has blossoms in the same color.  It looks like she made it for the paper I already happened to use.  And I'm sorry I don't have pictures to show more of the great cards you all made.  I promise I'll make it up to you when my collection arrives from goatgoddess arrives!

You could always post the photo of the great card you sent.  That's another one I kept going back to admire, by the way.  And, everybody, she changed it after she sent the photo in her PM!  (Such a tease!)

That's cause I accidentally emailed it to Bobo when sending the preview, so I asked her opinion (if I should color the bird, or not) so I did what she suggested.  Glad you like it. I didn't get a scan after I colored it.  Sad
