I vote for braided! The colors look great together on my computer! Much more interesting looking scarf braided than not. Whoever gets that scarf is lucky! It is beautimous!

Ooooh! I like them braided! Will they stay flat and in shape?

I like them separate--gives you options! I agree with you about not matching--the multicolor scarf seems to go with either pink or orange, but not both. They are so pretty though!! I love the bright colors.

Thanks for sharing your opinions everybody - it seems the overwhelming vote is to braid - I think I'm going to take Trifarina's suggestion though and braid it but not tack the pieces together permanently - that way if the giftee seems to not be head-over-heels for the day-glo braid they can be easily separted but if she loves 'em as much as everyone else does then I can quickly tack them permanently in place! (its for my sister - so a little post-gifting alteration will be possible!)

Maybe you could do something so that they can be braided or taken apart all the time. I'm not sure how you braid them, but maybe when they're all together they can be attached with a button or something at the ends? That way she technically gets 4 scarves in one. Each one separately, or all together when she feels like it.

I also think they look great together! Like tashaduckman says maybe you can make something that holds them together and then is easy to remove. If you have yarn left you can make a nice string with yarnballs in the ends and tie them together maybe.
