I took advantage of Joann's sale on CM to buy some and it arrived, only the color is not what I thought it would be. I chose dark Olive and boy is it dark! It's kind of a brownish green and I'm wanting a Moss Green type color. The Bernat Softee Chunky in med Sea Green is more like the color I want (though on my monitor it doesn't really look like it does in the store). http://www.bernat.com/product.php?LGC=softeechunky&SPP=999&PHPSESSID=2cfd98e058276b06d48bee135cc44ad7 I'm wondering what Paton's color comes closest to that. The Sage green looks sorta light, and the Bottle green much too dark, and I want something in the middle. I thought maybe someone might know. The CM colors at Joann are here - http://joann.com/catalog.jhtml;$sessionid$PFFP0PQAAA4HCP4SY5NBIHR50LD3OEPO?CATID=88320&PRODID=85778

thanks,
sue

Unfortunately PCM doesn't come in a color similar to the Bernat green you are looking for.  The Paton's color chart shown here is very accurate, at least on my monitor.

Good luck on your quest for the perfect green!

Mistake?  No... it's an Unexpected Design Element.  I put it there on purpose.  *ahem*

Thanks, I also got another reply that the Sage is too light. Someone else suggested the Leaf green, but it looks too yellow as well as light. I thinks I'm going to return this order and get the Bernat. At least I've seen it and like the color. Maybe I'll figure out another color for the Patons next sale.

It's very hard to say when looking at a moniter.
The colors that look very accurate on Calysa's moniter...look extremely washed out on my moniter, when compared to the real stuff I'm knitting with now.
I am sitting here now and knitting with 5 of the colors...none look right.

Edit: I used the color chart that Calysa linked to to calibrate my moniter. Thanks.
