I designed, drafted and made this skirt myself. Hoping to get more time to do a lot more now i am on holidays from TAFE. Its nice i now have a Cert III in clothing production Cheesy only took a year it feels quite strange i will say.

There are two pockets at the top i like how they are quite disguisted by the pattern. I want to work in an office and dress like i am a 50's receptionist, maybe one day Cheesy

I dont do tutes anymore sorry, this stuff is pattern made and its not easy to show you how to do a years worth of study in a 5 minute crappy tute. i think one important thing with a pencil skirt is the fabric stretch, you need it to sit in one. No stretch and it wont be as fitted.

I really really love this skirt! Pencil skirts are only the most wonderful thing ever! Beautiful Job.

Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.

Gorgeous! I love that sleek retro look, and it's such a beautiful elongating and flattering cut.

Very cute and a terrific fit!  This looks just like the skirts I used to wear back in the late 80's/early 90's with the high waist.  I had a leaner profile back then  Wink.

I'd like to do that too!  hehe. I like the skirt. I think you can find skirt drafting information somewhere on the fashion site if you googled it.  not too difficult, but it takes trial and error if you are a diy learner. :p

good work.

Oh my god. You and me share the same dream. I want to work somewhere where I can dress like a classic 50's receptionist and get paid tons of money! In my class, we learned how to draft personal pencil skirt patterns. My teacher just googled the instructions, but if you have no experience with sewing or patterns it takes some time to figure out. I love the skirt, and the pockets are an added plus!

I love the classic, clean line of a pencil skirt, and black and white makes my heart go *thumpity thump.* Beautiful job.
