Hello!  I am in Ipswich!  Are you in Beverly now, seeing how it is March?   Tongue  I'm a little late here I guess!

I'm not really familiar with crafting in Beverly, but most of the North Shore has a lot of arts/crafts related stuff going on.  What types of things are you interested in?

yeah, we've been here for about three months and i've seen a very little bit of crafting.  i did join a knitting group in salem, and that's rad.

I don't get out of the house much at all so I do my crafting by myself. I live in Beverly on Cabot Street and there is a yarn shop a couple hundred feet up the road (towards the RMV) and I know they do classes, if you're into knitting. I've never been in it, it's small. There's also a seamstress shop called Seams on the opposite side a bit further up than the yarn shop. Also have never been in it but I've seen quite a few interesting things in the window.

Haha...Not really, I guess. I've been here for almost a year, but my husband has been here a little longer. I do know on another thread someone had mentioned that the library had a knitting class or something, but I don't know which day or what time. There's quite a few little restaurants, and there's a hobby shop, but that's all I know.

if you're looking for something a bit hipper, try hitting up salem more often, especially the FANTASTIC feed your head books.  they're a zine/independent bookstore that also sells some crafty stuff [books, embroidery patterns, kits, handspun yarn, etc].  they've also started having events there, like open mikes, basement punk shows, and readings from local authors.  i <3 feed your head!!!  seriously, my most favorite place on the north shore.

In beverly farms there is a nice yarn store with a knitting group. There are also a few really great craft stores if you look hard enough.

yeah, i've checked out the craft situation and it's cool.  but there's more to a town than it's yarn shops.  i'm bored out of my skull here.  we're thinking of moving, acutally.  this town is just too small.
