I saw some at either AC Moore or Micheals within the past week - in North Carolina. Try asking about it at any craft store/LYS that carries Bernat.

Good luck!

They sell it at the Michael's near my house, but I know each stocks different items.

But if they don't sell it at a craft store near you, it is on sale right now at Joann.com for 3.99 per skein and TODAY they have free shipping with no minimum purchase!

Good luck!

I know they clearanced ALL the cottontots yarn at Walmart, but there's all that talk of making the craft areas smaller, so I don't know if they're just limiting their stock one brand at a time or what.  The Bernat website doesn't say anything about it being discontinued.

I always bought it at Walmart or Joann's, but neither one of them carry it anymore. I'll have to check our Michael's, though I don't usually buy yarn there cuz it's more expensive than the other two.

My Walmart has it clearanced for $5 a skein. Then again, my Walmart has clearanced most of the Bernat stuff (like some galaxy and pebbles).

No, I was merely reading the Muggle magazines. I do love knitting patterns.

I'm pretty sure it's still around.  I just saw plenty of it at Michael's and Lens Mill Store.

$5 a skein!!!  At Walmart?!?  Heck, my Walmarts have the stuff clearanced for $3, and I think the regular price at it's priciest (it used to be regularly priced at $2.32, I know for a fact) was $3.50.  It was NOT deeply discounted the last time I saw it.  I think it had JUST been put in the clearance.  My Joanns has never had it, but then, my Joanns has only in the last year expanded their yarn to more than half an aisle.  I'd suggest just looking for another supplier.  The Michaels in my town does carry it, and it wasn't more than $4 last time I was there.

Oh yes indeedy $5- its why I didn't buy it. My Walmarts do not drop prices on clearanced yarn very much at all, and it always ends up hanging around forever. I saw the skein and was like, "oh how pretty.... ooo and cotton" (because non acrylic at my Walmarts is rare... like waking up to find a bear chilling on your deck rare- mine just usually have the wee Peaches 'n' Cream section). But then I saw the big ole red clearance sticker and said, "yeah, no thanks". I have a strict "it better be a pound of cotton for that price" rule. I did once buy one of those 1lb cones of cotton by Peaches and Cream (for $6.97)... the ones meant for machine knitting.... and I rewound it off the cone into 6 smaller center pull cakes. I still have yet to make a serious dent in those cakes.... and that makes me VERY happy inside. While its not baby specific cotton, I like the colors better.
