Norwegian Legwarmers

These are based on the Norwegian Stockings found in Nancy Bush's Folk Socks.  I started knitting the first one and even turned the heel, but I ended up hating it because it had gaping holes.  So I ripped back to just above the ankle, increased some for a flare and knit until they were the right length.
I am IN LOVE with these.  I can't wait to wear them out somewhere.

I used Knitpicks Palette in ash, mint, and sky and US 3s aka glorified toothpicks.

ohhh, i adore those!  i've just gotten into wearing legwarmers, but those are WAY more elaborate than any i've got   and that's a damn cute outfit you've got on, too!

Those are BEAUTIFUL.  I am super jealous and now have to find my copy of the Folk Socks book and make the socks (not sure I can get away with legwarmers).
