This is my version of the Shroom pattern from crochetme.com. I used scrap yarn - i think the red may have been Red Heart and the bottom part was Sugar 'n Cream. Fast project!

I did a couple of alterations to the pattern:
I made the opening a bit smaller (so things would stay in the top better).
I stuffed the bottom with clear marbles (so he would stand up) wrapped in fiberfill
and of course, added a bit of embroidery for the Nintendo look

I love him. The buttons for spots were a great idea! I think I have found a good way to use up some of my stash yarn.

That marbles is a great idea, I wish I'd done that with mine! Although mine is not finished yet...
