I live on campus at a new england college, long story short, pipe froze = no heat, heat gun = fire, fire = no more dorm for a month. The heat people my college hired, caught my dormatory on fire, luckily no one was hurt and only a few rooms were affected. One room was badly damaged and the girls that lived in it lost everything. My room was fine and I wanted to do something to help out. I found some lionbrand boulce yarn at the dollar store and loaded up. I didn't have enough to make a full afghan, so it ended up being a lapghan. I used an N hook and it worked up really fast within 2 days I was done. They really liked it. Sorry the pics arn't the best.

Love it - very nice & cheerful colors!  I'm sure they appreciated it.  Glad you're O.K.  This weather right now is crazy!

I am a residential student at a New England college also, and I cannot imagine being with out heat.
I am happy that no one was hurt.
Your blanket is beautiful!

Drop the Yarn and no one gets hurt!

Wow, that sucks about the fire. That was very nice of you. I live in Wisconsin, so I know how much it would suck to not have heat right now.  Smiley
