I'm travelling to St. John's next weekend.  I'm coming from Labrador, and while we have a very nice yarn shop here, I'd like to see what the city has to offer.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I dont know if its too late Kelly,(not wure when you posted this) but all we really have is Michaels...that and the pathetic selection that Walmart offers. I grew up in Ontario as well, and as much as I love Newfoundland, the craft store offerings just dont compare.

I know this is sooooo very old, but there is a crazy wonderful LYS downtown St. John's on 238 Hamilton Ave. 3 or 4 floors for your yarn shopping pleasure. Its fantastic, the prices are reasonable and did I mention 4 floors?! Its called Wool Trends  Smiley

I found Wool Trends, thank you so much.  I didn't make it on my first trip to town, but I ended up there again this October and I believe my credit card has been screaming ever since.  I literally came home with an entire suitcase full of yarn.  Fleece Artist, Noro....drool  Roll Eyes

Here is the wool trends webpage for anyone else interested:

The lady who was working there the other day was super nice, and very very helpful.
