I know I am a few hours late, but I haven't been able to get my pics loaded until now.  This isn't the diaper tote that I wanted to enter either, but I probally won't get to that one until Tues or Wed.

This is a tote style bag with 6 inner pockets + a pen pocket.  It includes a magnetic snap, double straps and a removable hard type bottom that is lined with matching fabric.

I really like the simplicity of this bag! I would actually make one in a smaller size for regular, everyday use- the pockets around the inside perimeter would be perfect for all of the stuff I dump into my bag but can never find! And, I like how it has the "stand on its own" base!

Very nice!

Thank you, to make this bag smaller would be very easy.  I beleive it is basically a jordy style bag.

Great! I'm working on a few of those right now! If I didn't have zillion gifts to make today, I'd be making one for myself with pockets!

Did you put the pockets in the lining right before your stitched the lining to the body of the bag? And how did you figure out how big to make the piece of fabric before you stitched it in?

Well since this was for a diaper bag I wanted the pockets to be tall enough to hold the bottle and wipes case, so I made them a bitter taller then usual.  I cut the length the same length as the lining, placed the pocket on the right side of the lining and sewed across the bottom and then measured where Iwanted my pockets and sewed a straight line down there, then I sewed the lining together to catch the side of the pockets.  Does that make sense?

Yup! It makes perfect sense! You didn't have to allow some extra length so that the pockets would have room to "bulge" out? If not, that makes it so much easier!!

I've been sitting at the sewing machine all day, and I'm still itchin' to make one of these bags! Vacation will be here soon and I can do some crafting for me! Yay!

I'll try to post a pic if I make one with the pockets. Thanks for all of your help!
