I had this GREAT photo of my dad "fishing" when he threw the rod and reel into the water! So I framed it.

Here is the photo:

Here is the frame:

Here is a close up of of all of the colors I used to paint the frame:
I tried to get the color variations in Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Now I just have to get it in the mail! Ya, I'm late.

I hope you like it!

I think that it could use a fishing pole, to fit the theme of the picture.  Grin

We bought supplies last night to add a fishing pole.  But now I'm thinking maybe just some fishing line with a hook and maybe some bait on it since the entire "scene" takes place under water.

Opinions?

i would paint eyes on the fish thats about it. that is a hilarious photo by the way and putting anymore things on the frame i think would distract that moment frozen in time.

HAHAHA! Too funny!

Question: Did you use a sealer or something on top of the paint??

We didn't use a sealer because the polyurethane we had on hand at the time was very yellow and we didn't want to change the color of the paint. But I would see no problem using a clear poly to seal it.

I think your frame is great!  I like the colors a lot.  I'll bet he got a huge kick out of it when he saw it!
