Well, for Halloween this year i had intended to use the costume i had pulled together last year, which was Velma from Scooby Doo. last Wednesday my cousin and i were browsing the local goodwill looking for silky nightgowns so she could make her own fairy costume like Eropunkish did here -> http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=4708.0. well i found a lime green camisol and decided to be tinkerbell ^^. we had to do a lot of taking in on the sides [three inches], but it turned out great in my opinion.

dress

-the straps were removed and replaced with clear plastic bra straps
-bottom cut in triangles and hemed.

shoes
-dyed regular white house slippers lime green
-balls were made from styrofoam balls, white glitter felt, and push pins; then sewed on

wings
-regular funny colored childrens costume wings spray painted silver and detailed with iridescent glitter glue

doing a rough estimate the whole thing probably cost me about $20 to make. the cami itself was only three bucks, so most of the money just went on supplies ^^. *joygasm* can't wait for halloween parties   Cheesy

My friend went as Tink once, but her costume was no where near as cute as yours!

Good job!

yaaaay! wow, that's so cool Smiley I went out of the fairy-lace-princess-glitter stage around second grade, but I'm starting to feel a relapse coming on! Maybe I still have those wings... hmmmm. haha, anyway, you did a great job! ~Anna
