very cute! have you tried Patons SWS? it's cheaper than Noro and just as pretty

Thanks!

I live far, far away... I don't think those brands are available around here, I'm jealous of the Paton SWS Calorimetries I've seen! The colours are so pretty.

What is the plural of Calorimetry anyway... Calorimetries, calorimetrys?

here's my latest calorimetry! my first time using patons sws and i REALLY like it Smiley

It looks great!

I finally got around to making this on Saturday. I was loving all the variegated versions I saw on here but didn't have access to any variegated yarn of my own, so I just made random stripes from scraps I had lying around from sweaters I've made. It's a little loose on my head (I sized it down to 110 stitches but it's still slightly floppy), so I think I'm going to put it in the wash next time I do laundry and that should make it fit nicely.

Edit: I just realized from a post I made on another knitting topic that my photobucket account needs to be public in order for my pics to show up on here.  So here's another attempt.  Smiley

bijou_raoul - great job.  I love the idea of using scraps together to make multi-stripe yarn!

i'm casting on soon... should be done soon as well, right? Smiley
i'm using some scrap lion brand yarn that i absolutely adore. since it's bulky, i'm going to co 70 and use 10.5s as someone has previously done.
wish me luck!

 *hops on the bandwagon*
i knit myself a calorimetry.
i cast on 120 stitches like the pattern says and it's the perfect length for me, which seems to be an anomaly.  i made mine skinnier than the pattern though, it's about 4.5 inches at the widest point.

on me

alone in its purpley glory

heh i didn't have size 8 needles so i used one #7 and one #9. Cheesy

Just finished my second calorimetry Smiley
Made it a bit narrower so that it is imbetween a hat and a headband (about 5 1/2 inches).

Dont think it suits me though cos my hair is too mad and sticks out the sides!

Bit of a shame for it to go unworn. so if anyone in the US wants to do a personal swap (e.g for a couple of kool aid sachets) PM me! Nb. im in the UK.

I have huge curly hair, so big infact that I cant get a hat to fit my head! I get really sore ears when out in bad weather so this would be perfect for me.
