Maybe I'm just used to short row knitting but what does it mean to 'work 2 stitches' in the pattern?

All of yours look wonderful!

    nnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVV second row
VVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVVnnVV first row of 2x2 rib
-----------------------------------------------cast on row

ok thats my crude diagram, the v's are knits the n's are purls, basically the first row is straight 2x2 rib, then turn, work second row in 2x2 rib until you get to the last two stitches, leave the two stitches on the left needle and then turn and work row three

I started working on it while watching Hitch with a ball of pink Cotton tots. I am new to short rows, but I think it looks okay. My friend wants me to knit her mittens or gloves for Chunnaukah but dude... I have so much knitting to do and I am halfway done with this. What size is everyone's button? I am thinking I am going to make my own so... Smiley

Simply Soft is so great. I see so many crafsters making things with types of Simply Soft I've never seen Tweed and Shadows....Where did you get your yarn from? It turned out super cute!

I finished mine!  I cast on 80 sts and used TLC Amore in Black.  It's rather big, but it works.  I can actually tie it behind my head.  I can't find my camera right now.

I think I will make another one in a less "fluffy" yarn.

I have a big head too jelly71, but just a warning: Everyone that I've heard about c/o 120 said it was HUGE. Maybe c/o 90 or 100? Any would work...
