In addition, a panta has ribbing that goes across the band from ear to ear and a calorimetry has ribbing that goes from front to back...you cast on all your stitches to fit around your head with a calorimetry...and make it as wide as you like... with a panta, cast on as wide as you like, plan for the middle, then start going backwards to make it the length you want...ha ha--I am sure that all makes sense...but that is how it was explained to me...
heh, I see you've been paying attention to the knitting you've done Wink

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

hee hee--I am fast becoming a knitting wikopedia!!

and yes, it is how they are made but also, a panta is more of a headband while a calorimetry is suppose to keep you warmer inside and outside the house/office because it covers the top of the head where most heat is loss...calorimetry means the measurement of heat loss, right? anyway, I like them both!!!

Happy belated birthday to all the December babes.  I thought I would share a few pics of the knitted goodies I sent to Crafterbynite, which she received last week.

This is the Breabag from Berroco, lined with some upholstery fabric.

I love that bag!! I can't wait to become a more experienced knitter--and what a great idea for a strap!!  I never thought to use the lining fabric!! I hate the knitted straps as they stretch too much!

Beautiful calorimetry as well!!

Poor Naelany sent me 2 gorgeous Pantas, and hasn't had any action shots.  I swiped some batteries from my ma for my camera, and got these cheese-ball pics for you!  I couldn't be bothered to find makeup or fix my hair, but just look at the headbands, not my face, k?

Here's me and my mini version modelling them:

And, just to show you she IS my wacky daughter:

(sorry for the wonkyness of the pics, we took them ourselves)  Smiley

Thanks again, Naelany, you rock!
P.S. Everytime I ask 'where is my Panta?' my hubby says, "NOoooo, a Panda is a bear!"  Sillyness abounds at this home.

*giggles* Yay, pictures! Thanks for taking them! You two look cute together. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree huh. Beautiful, and creative, killer combo Wink
Heh, I notice that you're wearing yours with the "right" side out, and she's got the "wrong" side out. Both look nice Smiley
