That is one awesome hat!!  The pompoms look like so much fun--is it crochet? Did you make up that pattern?

Nice gift!

I received today, from jesintexas
She sent me a black panta, a pink stripey (the most gorgeous yarn) calorimetry, and some bias tape (I'm just a little obsessed with bias tape, haha) in my favorite colors (pinks, green and brown, both of which look good with pink Wink )

I use it for the coffee cozies I make mostly, but I like to put it on other things too (inside seams of purses if I don't want to line them, for example) but yea, it's quite the "unique" obsession, haha

I'm so glad you like the panta and the calorimetry, Zelda.Suicide.  I am making a calorimetry for myself out of the same yarn.  It's SWS by Patons in natural pink.  Calorimetry seems to be the new panta, and it's a fun knit.

Thanks for the compliment, alwaysinmyroom.  One day I hope to knit a sweater.   Smiley

The panta is sewn together, for one, and you increase/decrease differently. The calorimetry has a button in the back to close it with

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

In addition, a panta has ribbing that goes across the band from ear to ear and a calorimetry has ribbing that goes from front to back...you cast on all your stitches to fit around your head with a calorimetry...and make it as wide as you like... with a panta, cast on as wide as you like, plan for the middle, then start going backwards to make it the length you want...ha ha--I am sure that all makes sense...but that is how it was explained to me...
