I recently had to move from my house that I loved I had every room just how I liked
My mom is not able to live alone so I moved to take care of her . she had moved into a manufactured home . every single wall in the intire house is these 1980 country blue flowers .
and its kinda wax plastic crap that you can't paint I tyred everything kilns sanding etc .. so I have lived with it for over a year.
One day I pulled some tape off the wall and the first layer of the stuff came off !
I then put some duck tape on pulled and it just came off like tissue paper  so after doing the happy dance I ran to get some paint . this is what I ha have done so far . the paint is sand paint with tiny little flecks of gold and I love warm colors and these were inspired by the painting that I received  in the Aceint culture swap . the other wall is art paper I ripped up and modge podged  then I took the really ugly fax stained glass kinda thing with geese with blue scarves on ... umm OK ... still have allot to do but I'm liking  it so far the I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the oak but I think I'm going to stain them in a dark stain change all the pulls .. I'm going to try painting the brass a flat black and modge podge some kinda of art paper or bead them .. updates to come

First off, big kuddos to you for taking care of your mom.  How you changed that paneling is totally amazing!  It looks gorgeous now.  Funny that you used duct tape; I recently used it to strip off peeling paint.  It worked pretty well and actually was less messy than scraping since it held onto the  paint chips.

If you walk into someone's living room and there's a rinocerous in there, act like it doesn't excite you. Just yawn, and ask for some rice pilaf or beans to munch on.

That orange and red wall is awesome.  I need details.  OK, so you bought some art paper, ripped it up and modgepodged it...is that it?  Genius!
