Hi all! New to the board here!

Tiny intro:

I'm 15, a young entrepreneur (ha!) and struggling to get my first business off the ground with some really good ideas. (Need to get my website up and running, eek!). Already wrote up a business plan and have a DBA. So I'm set to go.

Anyway, I had this stroke of genius today. Mamma Meow's Fortune Cookie Babies. It's a sculpey clay cat head (paperweight, maybe?) that is inside of a knitted fortune cookie, which goes inside of a little chinese takeout style box.Inside the knitted cookie is also an "adoption" certificate. I made up a whole bunch today, and I was wondering what everyone thinks of this idea? Good or just too darn weird? Thanks!

I think it's a utterly fantastic idea!  I've never heard of an idea that's too weird... and if it does't sound a little weird, then it's probably boring.  Your idea, on the other hand is awesome.  Good luck!

Oh I get it now!!!!
But Id rather have a whole cat than just a cat head. Seems sort of weird to just adopt a bodiless cat head. Other than that super cute!

It sounds really cute! i agree about the whole animal, tho. Just a head is a little too horror movie-esque. you could make a few different ones, and name them, and sell clothes....alright!  good luck!  Wink

What is 'knitted cookie'? I am struggling with my English... I've read it 5 times, but it did not help to understand what a 'knited cookie' is.

But... I liked the 'adoption' idea!

Thats the randomest, coolest thing! I love the idea, though maybe the others are right-- you could make a whole body..then they could have different poses and stuff. Thats such a fun idea!

I think just a head would be fine! You can make different expressions on the faces, and it will always be a surprise what is inside(if I am understanding right  your idea)! Like those German Kinder-Surprise eggs.  I loved those eggs, and we were buying them only because of this SURPRISE part. I did not care for chocolate eggs, I did not care for toys themselves, but SURPRISE was a cool thing! I am sure the Kinder-Surprise company made millions $$$$$  on this idea.

Hey, some of those kinder surprise toys were pretty great.  There was usually very complicated assembly required, and sometimes decals!

I just emailed you a spastic reply about stocking these things in my store.

but I must say I went to school in italy for a while and we were so sick of that chocolate but had about a million of the toys! most desired in 1997: smurfette!

I think getting a cat in a chinese food box is a little creepy.  Itd be like eating cat for dinner...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was a little weird! It seems like a bad Chinese stereotype...
