*slaps self on forehead*

I know about using old ledger paper and stuff like that in journals - I can't believe I never thought of scrapbooking scraps.  Brilliant!

Your journals are lovely, and the choice of outside covering is wonderful.  I have some great Calluna ephemera as well, oh if only I'd win the lottery and it woudl take me away from this j-o-b which lately takes up WAY too much of my time!

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

Yah, being a student in my last semester (woot! few months to grad law school!) gives me wayyyyy too much time Tongue  I am a craft machine.

I used scrapbook paper and also some of the children's book pages that calluna sent me.  I'm making more for the SSS13 swap .... people should join ;P

Finally here's a pic of the awesome journal calluna made me! It's super well made and the inside has awesome papers...but the best part is the Link she cross-stitched on the front! I love Zelda!  Thanks Calluna, I love it!

Here are the goodies calluna sent to me for two claims in the May round...

I claimed a jar of whimsies and a Japanese ink brush kit. Both were listed without pictures, so I wasn't entirely certain what I was claiming - but, man, am I glad I did it! Whew, these are amazing!

Here's a photo of the jar of whimsies (prior to opening) and the ink brush kit.

The ink brush kit is absolutely stunning - seriously, the box itself is a display item. And I can't wait to try out the ink brushes. There are some amazing examples in the book and I'm just itching to try my hand at it.

And here's a photo of the contents of the jar of whimsies - so whimsical!   Grin  There are tons of goodies in here - ribbon, a watch face, an asian fan rubber stamp, paint, paper epherma, scrapbooking supplies, glitter, beads... anything you can think of is in there!

Plus, if that all wasn't enough, calluna included some absolutely adorable beagle photos from a book she has. Man, talk about cuteness overload!

Thanks so much, calluna, you certainly spoiled me!

I used to just have it sitting out as a decorative item, I thought it was so pretty! But then I never DID anything with it--like using it for its intended purpose--and it reminds me of living with my ex, so it was time for it to move on to greener pastures.  Smiley I'm glad you like it AQ!

I'm living/working in Yosemite Nat'l Park til further notice! Blogging about it here. No swapping for me, and minimal crafting time, for the coming months. Almost done with library school! That sums things up for now.
