I finally decided to just try amigurumi, and they're so easy to make!  This is the elephant from Roxycraft.

When I was doing the finishing, I pulled a strand through the body and added a tail.

It was also my first time crocheting with a wooden hook (Brittany-their knitting needles make me drool) instead of a steel one.  BIG difference.

I'd love to know what you think!

It is very cute!  You've done a great job and I love the tail.  Does it have a name?

Thanks!
No, no name yet.  Although he makes me think of Elefun, that game that blew butterflies in the air.  The song keeps going through my head.

That is one adorable creature.  When my oldest son was very young, he used to call them Flants  Grin
