Completed popsicle purses

This is the one that I stained...I used a soft brush to apply stain...the beads on the handles didn't take the stain as well b/c they had some sort of finish on them so I distressed the bag to match and used a spray clear finish on it to seal it.

I spray painted this one...much easier than staining. I decorated the top with beads and a plaster skull.
With both of these bags I opted for wire as the closer instead of elastic...I have some old telephone wire that is copper with colored coatings. I just used coordinating colors (or I would have stripped them).

I think they are to big...I need to figure out how to reduce them.

I don't think so, Craftster would automatically minimize them for ya, but could be!  Meanwhile, let's post the links so everyone can still see them!

Actually the first two I made didn't work out. They are like baskets! I worked them two at a time that's why I screwed up two.. They do make cool looking baskets though.

Those are so wicked. I love the black one. And the flower on the blue on gives it a nice touch. Very good work.

I can't really say how long it took b/c I did them at work as I had free minutes...I will say that I realized how time consuming it might be so I worked 2 at the same time. You have to let the glue set a few minutes after each row so I just kept a piece of paper to note what row I was on. I do embroidery for a living so I have free time during runs, anywhere from a minute to an hour. I just set them up in an out of the way place and added a row here and there.

I love the flower one the blue one but the black one is my favorite. The handles are really funky too.

Those are so cool! If you lined them, they would make great sewing baskets.

I especially love the blue one - very 1940's colour scheme.
