Okay, Cheesy I will post pics of my room later on (it is the one I have been working the most in... LOL) Grin but anyway next up is my kitchen... I desperately need some advice and hope it is okay to ask for it here... Cheesy

only difference is now my chairs are light oak with white backs. Cheesy

this is what my cabinets currently look like. the knobs have blue flowers on them. reminds me of the blue willow china. Grin

these are my kitchen windows. just this set is it. They currently have curtains that I made out of the Waverly Blue Country pattern.

I want to paint my kitchen!!! (anything but white) lol I like the blue willow stuff and my counter top is an electric baby blue. Cheesy Thoughts? Suggestions? Whatever I do has to be rugged and durable because this is the most used room in the house. LOL Cheesy

Ok, count me in - but starting with the march deadline, as I won't be getting into my new place until then. Smiley It should end up very bright and colorful, most of the painting is already done (my mother is renovating her attic so I am moving back there.) Will post later with a list...

Hheheheheheh I couldn't help myself with that one.

There are a lot of great things for the kitchen out in cobalt blue that could look great in there.

Yeah, but I don't wanna go over the top too much Grin heheheh What colors would you suggest for the cabinets and walls? I was thinking something lighter on the cabinets than what I put on the wall. My major designing issue is this: If you stand in my blue kitchen you can see my living room. Has wonderful furniture, it's a muted green (pretty!) with burgundy and gold stripes with golden victorian print overlay on it and beautiful mahogany claws Grin I was thinking of painting my living room either a light cinnamon or burgundy but I have to coordinate with the kitchen :/ Thoughts? Please.? lol Cheesy

How about warm golden beiges?

I'm thinking leaning toward that yellow kitchen thing that people love but a bit more brown-ish instead of bright yellow, like a goldenrod. And it sounds like it would compliment your other rooms and yellow/gold and blue and look great together. Just becareful not to do too much gold and blue then it will look like a football team room or something.....

Then the cabinets can be a light beige.

I'll keep thinking.....

spitbubbleluv - I love your quilt and pillows and decorations!

questions on this:

Arabella, I agree with stifflersmom.  Moving the chair to the corner would add some more space.  Plus if the new couch has similar dimensions to the chair, its going to be more crowded once it arrives.

Do you all mean move the chair into the corner where the plant is?  but at an angle?  or angle it so that it's facing the window more?

I think that we might have to move the whole thing anyway when the new couch comes... I think it's deeper than the existing couch which means it may not fit at all, even with an angled chair...  I'm starting to be concerned about the impulsive couch purchase - it doesn't have arms and I hope that will be comfortable enough...

I really agree with the golden yellow. any yellow, but especially one that would compliment both the living room and your cabinets Smiley
