I spotted a free pattern on the Bernat site that I knew I had to try. I couldn't get the recommended wool in the UK, but I found some stuff I liked (called Organza, by Sirdar) which was ribbon-like. I decided to give it a go, but I didn't quite take into account the fact that I would probably need a lot more of it since it was heavier.. and instead of costing 20, it ended up costing me nearly 70 in wool! I think it was well worth it though as I love the end result. Grin It weighs almost 2 pounds!, and is longer than I am tall! Shocked

Sorry about the bad pictures, they're better close up. Can you tell I don't like the flash?  Cheesy

Is that the shawl that calls for Bernat Matrix yarn?  If it is, I've made that pattern.  I like yours much better than I liked mine.  The colour is beautiful.

It is indeed. Thank you. Smiley I fell in love with both the pattern and the wool but at 70 I don't think I'll use it much. Cheesy
