I saw Fort Myers nearly spit out my coffee!!!
No one I knew before moving here had ever even heard of this place until I moved here. My own father thought I lived up by Jacksonville until a couple of years ago, when I had been living here 3 years already!!!

I live in Cape Coma Coral!!  So I'm across the bridge   Lived in an apt in Ft. Myers for a couple years, been in Cape Coral all the rest of my life.  Bought a house there with my partner recently.

Anyone else in this area???

If anyone is interested in a knitter/crochet group, we have a Ft Myers Fiber Artist Meetup group that meet second and fourth Wednesday of every month at the Lakes Library on Bass Lake Rd at 6 pm. Go to Meetup.com and search Ft Myers groups.

There is a fairly regular group that meets in the back corner of the audio/visual room. We bring projects to work on, stuff to share and lots of laughter. All experience levels with instructions available for newbies.

All are welcome to drop by.

Any seamstresses out there? I love to sew, mostly costuming (renaissance, Halloween, etc), and was wondering if anyone else in Lee County enjoys sewing. I'm so glad to see a section devoted to SW Florida.

I am also in Cape Coral and interested in lots of different crafty things, mainly fiber related. I don't drive so it  would make it hard to meet up with others, especially in some area's where bus coverage is nearly zero. I could get a ride certain times of the day / week but it would still need to be fairly close to me.

Is this thread still open? I am about 2 hrs north of you guys. I'm on Anna Maria Island and I am looking for other crafty people that aren't stuck up. (that's a problem out here) My car sucks rocks, so I can't come as far as Ft Myers, but if anyone is in this area I would love to get together.

  I am in Fort Myers and I would love to connect with like minded others.  I "tried" to organize an Etsy meetup at the JoAnne's store but there were only 3 of us.  Then again 3 is not bad because we had fun.  And JoAnne's is very welcoming for groups to use their rooms to make crafts.  I love making crafts but I love making things with friends better.
