I once saw an exhibition called 'art from junk' and someone has made a huge wall haning from exactly these blister packs from pills and also from chewing gum.They had been literally sewn togehter on a sewing machine.

Why dont you sew a whole lot of them together to form a big flat sheet and then roll the sheet into a tube shape and fill it with christmas lights.

Edit: or it might be fun to make novelty 'meds' by refilling the packs with tictacs or altoids or whatever fits - you could make sexy / happy / crazy pills etc..  and then you glue thin paper (which could be printed with pill info) or foil to the backs and use them as stocking stuffers and so forth.

I really like this idea! I might save all my packets from now on...
