A fabric bag filled with rice.  You microwave it and it stays warm for my dh's sore shoulder.

I just picked up sewstylish gifts to make - a seasonal magazine on the magazine stand at a supermarket. It says "Basic training to unleash your crativity from the publisher of Threads"  Anyway, it has several cute 1-hour and 2-hour projects and "37 super-quick presents" that would be good stuffing stuffers or inspirations.  They have a website, but it's more of a blog-type site for the non-holiday magazine or something.  Anyway, it's http://besewstylish.taunton.com/n/blogs/blog.aspx?webtag=besewstylish&redirCnt=1

oh and i also just thought of a new stocking stuffer idea im going to use for my moms stocking this year....
Polymer clay covered silverware. My mom loves going all out for the holidays so i am going to make her some christmas themed forks, knives spoons, etc. =]
i know i have seen something like this somewhere on craftster.

So, it's been AAAAGES since I used polymer clay. What would you coat silverware with and would it be dishwasher-safe?

you could coat it with varathane (not sure of spelling, but you can get it at a hardware store).  the silverware would not be dishwasher safe because the clay could chip, so it's best to handwash.  i did some like this for a goth swap (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=166803.0).  My partner (who sells her polymer creations) says that you can coat it, and bake it again.  she says it helps to strengthen the polymer.

I couldnt find eyes like they used, so i made mine from polymer.
