Any ideas yet on how to determine how much is 'enough' to send? Just curious. I'm collecting furiously! Good thing I have an addiction to magazines and catalogs.

I'm of the more is better persuasion myself Grin  We could do it like the paper and ephemera swaps with a 9 x 12 envie, but postage can get ridiculous if a person gets too carried away.  In Canada, its got to fit in the magic mail slot guide to go cheap and be a certain weight.

Sorry, that was a me phrase.  Tongue It means any envelope that the ATC measurement (2.5x3.5) would fit. So generally a standard size envelope or maybe even business length. Hope that is clear?

The standard envelope idea is appealing -- since ATC-sized stuff is smaller scale anyway.

All righty then, I'm thinking of starting this one up next week.  It'll be my first swap (woo hoo!).

This will be strictly ephemera(NO scrapbook or other large paper)my dictionary defines ephemera as paper items of little original value;printed matter of passing interest.  Some examples would be mag and newspaper clippings, ticket stubs, candy wrappers, used stamps, bus tickets, book pages, fortunes, stickers, advertising stuff, game pieces etc.  Use your imagination!!

It'll work like this: you will send a selection of ephemera to your partner and an ATC that you have created from some of that ephemera.   Enough so they can make YOU an ATC and have some left over for their own use.  I think a legal size envelope (the long kind of regular envelope) would be a good size.  Bear in mind postage will be more if you go mental and stuff the envelope to bursting!!   So when you receive your envelope of goodies (and ATC) you will create an ATC to send back to your partner-  in total you will be mailing TWICE.

You'll have a week after signups to create your envelope and first ATC, then 1 week after you receive your ephemera to craft your second ATC.  Hopefully the postal goddesses will be smiling at us and we can wrap up by the beginning of February.

Look for signups after boxing day(Dec 27).  when all the shortbread and Baileys are gone Grin
