With Christmas the next few days, make sure you save your instruction manuals in other languages!  I got some nice greek type last night from my kid's toy! Tea-dyed, or watercolored and it will look really cool!

Sometimes I want to go traveling just to get paper stuff.  Thats about as odd as making art out of garbage.

In the car the other day, I was staring out the window (hubby was driving) and I blurted out "We should go to China so that I can collect collage stuff."

The funny part was that he didn't even bat an eye.  He said "Someday when we've [met a specific financial goal we've set] we'll go, and you will have all kinds of fun paper.  Maybe we'll go to South East Asia too."

Hmmm...I was about to post some ephemera in my shop, but I think I'll do this swap first.  I have a problem with the listing fees. I mean, there's my time and effort, and then Etsy takes .20 plus a portion of the sale for each item now...I don't see any way to make a profit if you post a single item priced $1.00.  Would it be worth it to sell it that way, or do you basically have to sell it in bulk to make anything?

Just curious what y'all think...still, I'm signing up!

darn, I just found out one of my pottery guild members recently went to India.  She was telling me about PAPER Factories(!!!) that she went to.  I am absolutely telling everyone I know (even slightly  Smiley) that I want ephemera from elsewhere.  My only upcoming trips are Mexico or Cuba and Las Vegas (which is sort of like another country I guess...)  I'm still in shock....paper FACTORIES Shocked

Ya'll have me soooo looking everywhere for papers.  We went to our regular Twaiian buffet last night. I asked if they had any newspapers in the back. The barely English speaking cashier said "no-so sorry."  Then I noticed a Chinese Calender hanging behind her. I asked if I could have the top page.  She says "Yes, it's Friday."  I told yeah, but not for that much longer.  Her son understood and ripped it off for me, explaining in their language.

SCORE, lol.

I think I'm going to put a message on the bulletin board in my office breakroom asking for foreign language newspapers.
