I'm so excited for this swap.  Yesterday I scored a *free* Chinese language phone book.  I wouldn't have thought a phone book could be so interesting, but this one was fascinating.  My partner can definately expect Chinese language phone book pages from me!  Smiley
Awesome score!!
I presume you'll be doing an Asain set soon?

I have a huge order from skybluepink coming-they have some really cool stuff on their site, and cheep too Grin

I love skybluepink.  It's my favorite of the collage suppliers.

I'm thinking about it -- I'm going to Chinatown next week to search out more ephemera (and eat food and buy tea).  So that very well could happen.

I think a legal size envelope (the long kind of regular envelope) would be a good size.

Is this the kind of standard business envelope that is 4x9 inches (10x23 cm)?  I just need to know what I should start saving!

I'm saving! I'm saving!  Grin

And I think I'm going to have to check out this skybluepink you speak of....

Oh and can we include paper? Like small scraps? My definition of ephemera is a little weak...is it essentially anything we think is cool?

that sounds like the right size of envelope Kat (I don't actually seem to have one right now Roll Eyes)

ephemera is more like everyday life paper stuff-which is anything we think is cool!  I'm just trying to avoid masses of scrapbook paper, little bits of cool stuff is all right  Wink

you totally have to check out the site http://www.SkyBluePink.com/
its the first place that I haven't had to pay thru the nose for shipping (Hannah Grey wanted like 25 bucks for what I figured to be a small box of stuff!!) I ordered a ton and was charged around 10 dollars I think.  Swell!

That's all I need, alteredmommy: a new source for my drug of choice. Curses!

(Actually, thanks! I love checking out new supply websites. I'm going to make amaryllisroze go there!)

My boyfriend is in Dubai this week so I just sent him a message asking him to bring a newspaper and other "cool paper stuff I can make ATCs from" home with him.  I don't hold out much hope as I haven't trained him in what "cool stuff" for ATCs is but you never know!

I still have some newspaper left from the United Arab Emerites-it makes the most awesome background.    Its kind of hard to get the idea of "save me cool paper stuff" out there sometimes-I was just talking with my friend who lives in the Netherlands "save me some interesting paper stuff"  "like what" "you know cool stuff for art that you might normally throw away"  "what kind of art uses garbage".....  Roll Eyes

Sometimes I want to go traveling just to get paper stuff.  Thats about as odd as making art out of garbage.

The boyfriend got me an Arabic newspaper at the airport bless him.  He's on the flight home now so I'll see what it's like later tonight.
I'm hoping to go out there myself in Feb with him so I'll be on the look out for more cool stuff.

I hope I can join in on this swap but I've got a week away in January so I'll have to keep an eye on the send out dates etc.
