greeneggsandham: Applique posted up! Looked better once it wasn't used and frayed though.  Undecided

emiwcch: Wow! Thanks! I like it too! I like how it looks and scruched but really it's not and it allows me to carry a TON in it. I may post up a tutorial because I seriously think my teacher made it up herself, and it's really just a bunch of rectangles. Smiley

And here's a closeup of the handle area (sorry for the blurriness.):

It's really two raw edges that we had on both sides and used one to flip the bag rightside out andter sewing the sides and I just folded it inside itself, hemming it and folded it down and topstitched in a matching brown. Smiley

Thanks MorbidKnits and Mylasbags for the nice compliments! Smiley

Yeah, it's a very pretty bag!

I think the applique looks like a bird. It's a bird... It's a plane... (or is it Superman?) Wink

Awesome!  But I've always been a fan of "ugly" fabrics for purses and clothing.  And everything else really!  I really would like to take a sewing class...what I like best about this one is no zippers!  Hehe.

Great bag! I love the shape of it, simple pattern but great effect! I would have also guessed some sort of a parrot for the applique, but it is a little hard to see Smiley
