I'm currently learning to knit. Just scarves and such.
I also sew and do handicrafts(?).

Sorry, but i don't know any crafty people either. I did a sewing course for the last two month and thought that maybe I could meet some there. Unfortunately they were all around the age of my mum...they were nice though.

I can crochet, stencil shirts, and etch glasses, but limited luggage space forced me to bring only one craft with me when I moved: a huuuuuuge celestial cross-stitch project.  But, I am almost finished with that and am looking into starting on Christmas gifts, which will probably all be embroidered tea towels or cross-stitched hand towels.  I like to do a lot of different things, though, and am always on the look out for cute suggestions!

Too bad I am not in Hamburg, or I would join your little convention!

Well you could always visit the big city! Its pretty nice actually and I spent a lot of time travelling between Hamburg and Halle/Saale a few years back and the train connection is pretty good.
Should we perhaps organise something? Cant guarantee well like each other  Wink but at least we can mutually commiserate the lack of crafting goods!

Hey, I'm up for it!  I've never visited Hamburg, so for me it could be a crafting-and-touristing type thing!  Where do we start?  Hahah!

Hello German crafters!

Do you know any craft stores in Hamburg area?? I'm getting quite desperate, I'm going there this weekend, and it looks like I can't find any!  Sad

hi kitty-girl

I havent been in this city long myself and so I havent had the chance to go exploring. A number of hobby/craft shops pops up in the yellow pages (http://www.gelbeseiten.de). Search for bastlerbedarf or handarbeiten if its more embroidery/quilting/knitting related that youre after. You can get maps and stuff to show you how to get there (stadtplan). If you do find any that are good, be sure to let us know!!
