Friday was World AIDS Day, and my school hosted a Latexhibition, where we had to use latex barrier devices to create works of art. I think the winner received a year's supply of condoms. Here's my entry. It's a peacock, if you can't tell.

This is a fabulous craft piece- very creative! I love that your school holds this type of exhibition- makes aids awareness less frightening for many I am sure- keep up the good work.

Wow, that's beautiful!  I wish our school would host things like that.  We have a student body with generally extremist conservative parents, so a years supply of condoms as a prize wouldn't go over well.  It's a great idea to raise AIDS awareness, though.  There's a school in my area in which the HIV rate is comparable to some African countries.  Education is the only weapon.

The Latexhibition is such a great idea... and I like what you did with your entry! When I was in college we did a condom casino--- w/ condoms instead of chips.

on a side note... I wonder what a years supply of condoms is considered?  Shocked

ha ha ha!!! There was an article in the school newspaper that told what a year's supply was. The company giving the prize determined that it would be a quantity of 500 -- seems like a lot to me!!!!!

Your idea for the casino machine sounds so cute. I'm sure you would have been the grand prize winner at our school.

It's really neat that your school would do such a thing.
IT seems like every school would just preach abstinence. But it's good that your school is aware that, abstinence won't exist for a lot of people. && A lot of schools don't really realize that.

Way to go! Nice peacock by the way.

I love the peacock, It's very cute.

I wish I had 500 condoms.
It'd be exciting.

This is an amazing idea for raising awareness for HIV/AIDS. I like the catchy title, and the prize is most appropriate. You entry is really cute; I like the purple, my favorite color!

wow! can you imagine getting a box of 500 condoms?!

When I was an RA, one of my fellow RAs was a rep for Durex. They would ship him boxes of condoms. He used to leave them in the staff office and they would "mysteriously" disappear.
