I made this for my Boyfriend's birthday.  He's Greek, and the Greek culture believes the evil eye will protect from other's jealousy.  I had fun making it.
There a lot of little, nearly invisible cracks in the grout, i believe the room i mosaic in (the basement) got too cold.(grouting is challenging.)

here's the sides, they turned out pretty well.

and the back.  I'm going to run wire through the top two, the bottom will keep the piece flush on the wall.

So What do you think?

I think that is really awesome. I'd definitely hang it in our house. Nice work!  Smiley

I love the bottle cap center. I love it when people use found objects in mosaics.

I think it looks fabulous!  I can't even see any of the little grout cracks that you mentioned-- but if you want to prevent any more, I think a grout sealer would probably take care of it.  He will seriously love it!

thanks craftsters!  my last post on crafster yeilded no comments, so ya'll really made my day!

He did love it, btw, said it was the most thoughtfull gift he's ever gotten.  and his mom's one mean crafter, so that means a lot.  I use a grout sealant, but i think it more protects the grout than fixes it.

Thanks again!

That is very cool, but I think you wouldn't have cracks if you put the tiles closer together. Roll Eyes
