These are super easy and very cheap to make.  My mom has made these every Christmas for as long as I can remember.

they are very cute. at my high school an organization made and sold those as a fund-raiser.  they actually did very well.  they went with the whole, "here, buy this for someone and we'll deliver it to them during class" thing, which is so popular in HS...

Hahaha, maybe your mom and my mom are the same person, because my mom always made those when I was younger too. Another variation on it is to use the old fashioned wooden clothespins (the ones that don't have the metal springy bit) They're not as tasty, but you can paint them instead. Smiley

ooh ive made those b4 too- but i cut out antlers from brown constuction paper and glued them on, and i also tied a ribbon around the neck- cute!!  Another cute idea are candy-cane mice...cut out a mouse shape from paper, and cut two slits to stick the straight end of the cane through, and the curly end is the tail, decorate with google eyes and felt ears...yay!

behold, my christmas army!

thanks for the insipration - we used to make these when I was a kid too! I went with brown antlers and found some sparkly pom poms in christmas colors at joann's. That was super fun and easy and it will be a nice, silly touch to all of my gifts this year Smiley
