Me and one of my other best friend's are planning on doing a scrapbook. this was my idea. Could people give me ideas on what to put in them. Has anyone got pictures of scrapbooks that have turned out well, I would really appreciate your help. It's for my best friends birthday which is on the 23rd of December. By the way she is a girl.

I'm planning on doing a scrapbook of sorts as an xmas gift to my best friend.

I bought cardstock in all of her favorite colors to use. & some totally cool stickers.

I've compiled a list of all of our "inside jokes" & things that make us laugh. For this part, I think I'm just going to put cut out designs on single pages. with misc writing thrown on.
ie a cheeseburger, an army symbol, a tshirt, etc. one picture that only she will be able to understand the meaning of. that way she can flip through it & just see those images & think of fun times.

We have hundreds of quotes/words that we've either made up or found or someone has said that we loved that I want to write in. I might type them in cool fonts & colors & print em off; or just write them funky myself.

I'm planning to dig through my files & files of pictures on my comp, print a bunch of and make pages of days that we've spent together, making stories out of some of them.

we also talk at least twice a day by email. I'm planning on printing out several of our conversations & making those part of the book.

as far as the construction of the book itself, I'm planning on just taking two pieces of cardboard, covering them with cool paper, making holes for binding & then tying ribbon on it. not sure though....

I gotta say, I love OhSoRetro's idea.  Also, what I do is find tons of friendship quotes that remind me of the person.  I don't have a working cam right now so I can't take pics, but it worked out well.

Another thing...what do you like to do together?  Find resources and links to use in it that has to do with things they like.

One of my best friends enjoys crafts, so I want to make her a resource book for the best "quick crafts" because she's in college, and always so busy.  I want to lay it out in a scrapbook but it's going to take a while...

thanks for replying. well me and my friend love to go out shopping and go to the cinema together, we always make each other laugh.
Those are really good ideas i probably wouldn't of thought of them.
I'm sort of panicking now because her birthday is on the 23rd December and i know it will take a while to make, even with my other friend helping me.

same here about not having it completely done...but her bday is in January though, so if it aint a Christmas present I know what she's getting for her birthday!

I am kinda feeling that way with everything I'm making as presents though LOL <note to self: take a smaller bite once in a while>
