Do they have chavs in America?

i made him for my friend, hoodie and all. A less scary picture:

He is a sock monkey (naturally) and i made the hoodie out of a sleeve that i cut off a t-shirt, the hood had to be really big to accommodate his ears. Grin

I. Love. That. Hoodie.

I am so horrible at making clothes with and without a pattern. I tried making a dress without a pattern for a monkey and...well, the results were not pleasant.  I opted for an apron I found directions for instead.  I would love if you shared how you made the hoodie.

He he thanks. You cant tell in the picture, but it actuallty isnt that neat or anything the little front pocket  i just sewed on, without turning in the sides, but nah well, she wont notice.

Oh yeh, and by the way my friend that i gave him to told me today that she *accidentaly* ripped his tail off when she was swinging him round by it and could i fix it. Oh dear, will she ever learn?

That is very funny! You must make another one with Burberry socks, and maybe enormous hoop earrings.

super cute. love, love, love the hoodie.

as a side note on giving monkeys...i think it must be an unwritten rule that we who make the monkey are the only ones who can repair the monkey. ever! not that i mind - but i've given them to friends with kids and dogs and, well, they do get 'used'. my friend brought me a ziploc bag with pieces of monkey in it - limbs, eyes, tail, all the stuffing she could gather along with many pieces of thread. it would've been easier to make a new monkey - but she wanted her monkey. ah, such is the life as a monkey maker....
