I like the cozy idea - I love making cozies for things that don't normally have cozies made for them.

As for other challenge ideas, what about an oddball challenge?  Might be good for after the holidays, give us all some inspiration to use up all the leftover bits from our holiday projects.

Or what about giving us some specific stitch pattern or technique- entrelac, perhaps, as that seems to be super popular lately, or else some texture-y knit and purl pattern (nothing complicated like lace or cables; I'm afraid that would alienate people)- and the challenge would be to make something unique using that stitch.

OOoo,fun! I love brainstorming.  Smiley

other ideas...

KnitLit - Knit something inspired by a favourite book

KnitFlick - Knit something inspired by a favourite movie

The Amazing Race - everyone picks a knitting charity and makes as many items for it as possible within a certain time period, takes pics and posts them, then donates 'em. Winners could be drawn randomly.

Reduce, ReUse, ReYarn - projects from recycled yarn (i.e. recycled from thrift store sweaters, etc.)

I Lost my Yarn! - Knit using non-yarny materials (although, this was a craft challenge around a year ago).
