I made these mirrors for a holiday boutique that is going to be on Saturday.

I just used 5/8" Ofray satin ribbon and those cheapy Ikea $2 unfinished wood mirrors. I used duct tape to secure everything on the back and then used a glue gun to cover the back with felt. I think they look pretty.

those look store-bought! I've never had the patience for that sort of braided work, it's so time-consuming and mine never line up right. So kudos to you for having the patience!

Thanks to all. I'm selling them for $15 and I hope I'm not shorting myself. But, I live in Utah, and everyone here says, "oh, i can make that". Utah breeds craftiness (but mostly tole painting... Undecided...YUCK).

I'll let you know how it goes.

The best sign I've ever seen was at a craft show.  I was young and so can't remember the exact wording but it was something like:

"Everyone says they can do that at home . . . but will you?"

Maybe not so profound, but I've had very few moments of regret because I left something on the table and then did not make the cute thing I intended to make.  I also get the good feeling of supporting fellow craftsters.

Those are great!  You could use the same technique to make the cover of a scrapbook or photo album... great work!

I love it! Smiley I had several of those comments on Saturday. Oh well.

If any of you are interested in one, PM me. I have a couple left. We can do some swappy swaps! Smiley
