This frame is one of three I just finished making based on a project in the Quilt-It Kit by Denise Schmidt. I thought it would be the perfect present for  the grandparents in our lives for Christmas. Since I have two sets and my husband only has one and all three sets are completely different in tastes, I thought it would be best if we kept the gift the same. You know all those problems that come up with fairness and such when you're newly married. And since our grandparents have yet to get a photo from our wedding, this is the perfect solution!

The colors are based on our wedding color scheme, and the leaf pattern helps allude to the nature of our attitude on the flowers - simple, laid back.

It was my first time working patchwork and I think it turned out pretty well. all three frames have the same design, only varying slightly when I realized I hadn't cut my pieces large enough to wrap around the back of the frames (but had already cut out the pieces for all the frames).
