Ok, so ATC's seem to be a fun little thing to do...I now understand the lingo and know that they are "Artist Trading Cards" Yet....I'm still learning to navigate this site and I would like to see some already done...some examples..etc..but when I browse the threads about the ATC's I don't see pics posted like I do for some of the other projects.

If someone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Do I keep searching threads?

or do I look in the individual's blog or something??

I've read mention of a Gallery....is there a gallery per thread..or do individuals have their own gallery...

I really want to make an ATC....I found the thread where they give you a list of supplies and you have to only use what they suggest...that sounds like a blast..but I want to see what other people are making before I Start.

Oh this site will be very addicting for me...

There is actually an entire board dedicated to ATCs, with threads that have all sorts of images and ideas...you can find it here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=259.0

There's also an ATC-along, with pictures all through it, that's here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=78796.0

You can also look in the Swap Gallery board for ATC swaps: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=84.0

Thank you Thank you Thank you! These look like so much fun, I might have found a new addictive hobby...have to use up all the crap I collect anyway...so I can't think of a better way...and it would be a wonderful excuse to collect more random things Smiley

Yay, for ATC's and Craftster

If you've ever gotten a wedding invitation and opened the envelope and thought "the paper lining this envelope is so pretty.  I wonder what I can make out of it. I'll keep it."  then ATCs are for you!!!

Hey Kat- that is the perfect guideline by which to judge whether or not you're destined to be an ATCer- I must have been ready when I was 10- and that's a long, long, LONG time ago!

Yep, I do beleive this is for me, ATC's seem right up my alley and a good REASON to actually keep that wedding invitation paper because I like it so much. I've never had a good reason before....because generally it just sits in a box somewhere unused..woohoo..I'm getting pretty exicted over this stuff. It's like Christmas!

I have to admit I'm slow to catch on to the ATC revolution. I'm not much of a collector but these are so cool! My questions are (1) do you DO anything with them meaning use them as gift cards or something and (2) if not how do you organize and store them?

Like I said I'm just a little slow.....

They're just meant to be traded and collected, like baseball cards.

As for storage/organization, there's a whole thread on that:

I feel the same way PINKYK.  I just got into them, 5 so far and I'm lovin' it.

1.  You're supposed to trade them, but I also used one of mine on a greeting card (check out my recent posts to see)

2.  There are different types of storage albums for them, but most like a business card holder with clear pockets.

how do you organize and store them?

Here's a link to a swap where everyone made a card for all the other members, and then everyone had one partner that made them a book to keep the cards in. There were lots of different ideas on how to store the cards.
