Here are a bunch of sock monkeys I've made for (one swap and) gifts.

This was for a personal swap. The tail was a little shorter than I liked, but the prints on the socks necessitated I cut it off... prematurely. Sheldon here is showing how his heart is stouter than a lion's.

These three are presents for my cousin's kids. Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3 (the monkey's names, not the kids, hehe). I decided not to use buttons for the eyes so I crocheted circles out of cotton floss. I was posing them in an... er, adult fashion, because I'm sick that way.

These are soo great.  I am making my girls some sock monkeys with some socks I picked up at Target.  They're marron and pink with sock monkeys all over them.  Just couldn't resist.

Sock monkeys are the ultimate, eh? The pattern is something you only need to learn once.

I just bought more socks, but not knee highs, so I'm going to make stubby sock monkeys next. Hahahah!

I do hope the kids like them, these kids have 10 billion toys at home. If I'm lucky, they'll play with them for about 5 minutes.

Awww, Sheldon chilling out in his home!  My friends LOVE the sock monkey you made...too bad they don't have anything to swap with you (they're, shall we say, craft challenged).  Those are really great socks, i'm sure your cousins' kids will love them!
