I was thinking that it would be neat to do a craftalong where every month we pick a "quickie" type craft and see what neat things people make. These items should be able to be completed in an evening or so, (depending on skill level.) To start off I picked a couple of items I am interested in making. If you have any ideas feel free to either post them here or pm me.

Great idea!  And thanks for posting those tutorials.  I've really wanted to make some of the tissue holders.
I'll post pictures when I get them finished.

Rachikus and I had the same idea! Except we were thinking of extending to a little over a month, because we both mainly sew, but it would be neat to try and finish knititng somethign and take up crocheting again and make some ATCs etc.

We were going to do a just-the-two-of-us thing, but if enough people wanna join in?

This sounds like fun!!  I have both the tissue holder and pin cushion on my list of things I wanted to make.  Maybe this will help me get myself in gear a little faster.

Also, if you're looking for more quick craft ideas, I have cell phone cozy, tampon holder, and scrunchies on my list too.  Smiley

Those are great ideas too. Thanks.

Honestly, I know it's really early, but it would almost work for making stocking stuffers for next year's (2007) winter holidays.

Well, I have made a few tissue holders now, great quickie craft! I only have a picture of the one so far, but I figured I could start off the pictures!

It's a black and white paisley fabric that I just love. And the lining is just solid black.
I made these to fit Kleenex brand travel tissues, since I couldn't find the puffs ones mentioned. So my size is a little different. Overall I am very happy. And I made many to give out as holiday gifts this year.

Oh, i love this idea! I want to join Smiley. Can i make knitted tissue holders? I can crochet but I can't follow english patterns now Sad. I also can sew, but I think I must try it with knitting the holders Smiley.
And if you want more quick craft ideas, i suggest you headbands, coinpurse or flower pins Smiley

Que vaya bonito Wink

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english, i have to practise more  Cool
