i would like to make hat in a swedish style for my friend, and i don't know difference from swedish, norwegian and generally scandinavian patterns, and he does. so i would like to give him a real thing. can someone direct me towards traditional swedish hat (or maybe mittens?) pattern?

Here is mention of swedish knit books.

And this one.

(There are sample pages of this book on this site)

You can check your local library for these knit books. You can also check general information books on Sweden. There may be pictures of swedish knit garments. Then you can copy a motif to the hat.
