I believe this to be 60's to early 70's era fabric, its only 35 wide and I still have 5 yards of it! I love the illustrations esp. the elephant. This is lined with a new microcheck cotton ( u have seen it in a few other projects ) and padded with fleece. It is meant cross the chest and ride and conform at the hip, I dont care for stiff messenger bags thats why I didnt use a firm interfacing. I will probably never use it, but I felt like making it anyway. My daughter says its hideous.

the purse looks wonderful. the fabric is seriously amazing. the images are so cute. and your daughter is wrong! haha it is so not hideous! i think it's adorable and i would use it all the time!
