Quick question... did you unpick the lining, change the shape etc then redo, or just take the whole thing in together?

for some reason, i love how in the first photograph the jacket makes you look like the trailer park's favorite little lumberjack, and in the second you look fantastically chic.   Cheesy

I looked at the men's jacket and thought "yuck!  what could you possibly do with that ugly thing?".  Your recon is absolutely stunning, though... very chic and tailored.
