i sewed a few things over the holiday weekend.

i made an amy butler cabo halter from a swimwear knit fabric i got at lucy's fashion fabrics.  since i used a knit, i eliminated the zipper and cut the back as one piece.

i also sewed a Butterick 4789 twist dress in a pucci-inspired rayon/lycra jersey print.

more photos and pattern notes can be found on my blog

Wow, only 1-2 yards of fabric needed for the dress? Am I reading that right?

It looks lovely. I may just give it a try.

i made another 4789--this time, the twist top.  i eliminated the back darts, and left the hems raw, but otherwise i sewed as directed.  i really like this top and i'll probably make another eventually.
