That's gorgeous! You are also a genius and woman after my own heart , for you combined two of my favorite things in the world: embroidery and Sharpies!

Okay so first off, I just want to say thanks for a really great pattern!!  I needed to find a good one to stitch on a canvas bag for my friend's birthday... and this pattern was perfect!  I also want to say sorry for the crappy picture, I had to scan the bag because my camera is packed away somewhere, and so it looks kind of wonky.

First I embroidered everything, and then to give it a little something extra, I took my fine tip sharpies and shaded some of the areas.  I hope you like it, and thanks again!
This is so Great!  I have been on vacation, so I haven't been keeping up with my posts.  You do great work.  Keep it coming!

It is one of my dreams to embroider this for a Christmas present for my parents.  Dad was in the Navy and they  have a nautical themed TV room.

I just printed it off, so that's a start!

I still want to make this mermaid embroidery, but what can I do... my daughter made her own drawing and I had to embroider hers first.  I'm thinking I'll do yours for the next time I have to make a gift for my dad.

Here's my daughter's drawing and embroidery: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=139447.msg1370861#msg1370861

Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow! Kids make great art so easily!  I love both of the embroideries.  Where your kids excited to see them stitched?

My son is a bit older and not crafty, so his enthusiasm is tempered a bit.

My daughter is very excited about it and doesn't want us to give her mermaid away.  She pointed out to me how she made a little bathing top to cover the "private spots".  She keeps making more drawings with polite suggestions that I should make them out of felt or that I should "broider" them and put them on the internet.

I was in a rush when I did them, but I wish I would have embroidered their signatures too.
